Pakistan Economic Crisis: Thousands of mobile towers are lying closed after the power crisis in Pakistan. Because of this lakhs of people are facing problems. According to Reuters, the local people informed that the mobile service has been stalled since Monday (January 23) without electricity. Pakistan’s Energy Minister said that the repair of the power grid has been started to restore the power supply.
Due to the failure of the power grid, the power supply has come to a standstill in most parts of the country. Although the government has informed that they have sufficient resources of electricity, but due to lack of maintenance, there is a continuous decrease in the supply of electricity.
Information given by telecommunication
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said that due to the power crisis in the country, the mobile service has come to a standstill. Instructing further, said that every cellular mobile tower operator company should give information to their respective customers. The company said that we are trying from our side to start the service as soon as possible. Earlier, there was news of power failure in 22 districts of Pakistan’s Islamabad, Karachi and Peshawar.
Trouble in Pakistan’s big city
According to the information of local media, it was told that apart from mobile phone service, internet services have also been affected due to power failure in cities like Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi. Pakistan’s Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir said that “the government is hoping to restore electricity in the country by 10 pm, as the country is passing through the darkness for the second time in four months.” The minister told Reuters, “Our target is to Power is expected to be restored by 22:00 (10:00 p.m.) local time, but efforts are underway to restore much before that.”
